SWAP and SHOP Information

SCRAPBOOKING GROUP – SWAP and SHOP INFORMATION

The Scrapbooking Group will periodically conduct a "Swap and Shop" event during the year. What is a "swap"? Another name could be "Treasured Items Exchange."

Members are asked to look over their supplies, tools, gotta-haves and general crafting stuff and decide what should leave their possession and be passed on to someone else who now believes that the item is a treasure.

Craft items (tools, paper, books, ribbon, stickers, etc.) that were once considered treasures, that somehow over time have become “why did I buy this?” can be brought into the Arts & Crafts Club room on a specific date and time. The purpose of this event is to exchange or donate the item(s) to others.  You must bring in something to participate in this swap.  Selling of the product or item is not acceptable.

Annual CROP Information

Scrapbooking Group – CROP Information

May is National Scrapbooking Month.  To provide our members with the greatest opportunity to work on their “paper projects” --- the Group tries to  schedule a CROP once a year.

On specific dates and times, you are invited to bring in your materials, supplies and tools so that you can work without interruption (well, except for our social interactions).

The CROP will usually start on a Saturday afternoon and continue through to Monday evening.

You are encouraged to attend the sessions as much as you can --- however, it is an open CROP and you can come and go as you are able.  The benefit of a CROP is that you can come into the Arts & Crafts Club room, claim a table or two, and leave your “stuff” as you come and go.  For example, you could bring in a cricut® machine, laptop computer and supplies needed for a few projects.  When you leave the room, you should take the laptop computer but leave everything else until you return during this scheduled event.

The Arts & Crafts Club Board has acknowledged this activity and will inform the Club’s membership that the room is not to be used – except for members participating in this activity and the kiln monitors, for the duration of this special event.
