Any member of Art & Crafts may join us where we will demonstrate and (will try to) complete a new decorative activity.
We make crafts with care, skill, and ingenuity:
- Craft refers to works done where the imagination and the hand of the maker are evident.
- The value of a piece is in the workman/womanship of the artist rather than what it's made of.
- Since most arts and crafts activities consist of moving fingers and hands, they help maintain fine motor skills.
- Simple actions like holding a paintbrush and coloring with pencils or paint help strengthen muscles and improve control.
- Arts and crafts activities enhance our dexterity and agility.
- Make new friends!
Meeting Schedule
No prior experience is necessary. We post each activity in our Calendar.
We will usually meet the 4th Monday of the month from 10:00am-12:00pm
January 22, February 26, March 26, April 22, May 27, June 24, July 22, August 26, September 23, October 28, November 25, December TBD
You should click on the Calendar or Upcoming Event to register for each session. This will allow us to plan for how many people we will have at each session. Some sessions may be capped at a certain number of participants, therefore you may not be able to join if you did NOT register. If you are unable to register for a session, email a group leader and we will do it for you.
Register as soon as possible to ensure your spot. You may choose to be added to the “Wait List” and members should cancel if they do not plan to attend so we may add people from the Wait List.
While most supplies will be available, you are encouraged to bring your own crafts and tools for some sessions. Information will be provided in the calendar and/or sent via email prior to each session.
